Very structurally sound and more stable than some of the scary ones I crossed in Nepal!

I noticed a lot of these outdoor gymnasiums by the schools and thought they were pretty cool.

The presence of human life is getting more scarce the closer towards the jungle we get.

We learned how to make chocolate - first you toast the cacao beans on a open flame

Toss the cacao powder back on the flame to melt. We added milk and lemongrass.

Our accommodations in the jungle - very simple rooms with a shared bathroom.

At first I was nervous, but this ended up being my favorite day! It’s usually a class 3 rapid, but because of all the rain it was more like a 4. I did not fall out! Yay!

We stopped for a bathroom break and got a little empanada snack. The wait took forever but it was really good…

If I remember correctly, homie here smelled REALLY bad. He is a cow, after all.

With the main attraction covered in the clouds, it was fun to look at the vegetation.

So we walked around the whole lake, and that orangish structure in the distance is where we were heading back to.
